Eukaryotes : These are the organisms which have well organised nuclear region with a distinct nuclear membrane .

Prokaryotes : These are the organisms which do not have a well organised nucleus . The nuclear region is not surrounded by a nuclear membrane and ,thus, is in direct contact with the cytoplasm.
