Rabi:-)
- They are sown in winter season {October to March}.
- The sowing of the Rabi crops begins at the beginning of the winter.
- They are harvested by March or April.
- Example - Wheat,Oat,Gram,pea.
Kharif:-)
- They are sown in Rainy season{June to September}
- These crop require a substantial amount of water for their growth.
- Kharif crops are harvested at the end of the monsoon season during September or October.
- These are also known as paddy crops.
- Example - Paddy,Rice,Corn,Soyabean.
Zaid:-)
- There are also some crops which are grown in the summers,i.e. between Rabi and Kharif season {March to June}
- These are also known as summer crops
- Example - Watermelon, Cucumber,Bitter Gourd(Karela)
