Differentiate between rapid and explosive combustion

Rapid Combustion- When a fuel catches fire rapidly to form heat and light is known as Rapid Combustion. Comparatively less amount of heat is released at a time. Such as- Burning of petrol, kerosene, LPG, etc.

Explosive Combustion- When a fuel explodes when it catches fire to form heat and light is known as Explosive Combustion. A large amount of heat is released at a time. Such as- Crackers, Nuclear bombs, Hydrogen gas, etc.

difference between rapid and explosive combustion is—
1)The gas burns rapidly and produces heat and light, known as rapid combustion.
1)A large amount of gas formed in the reaction is liberated. Such a reaction is called explosive combustion.
2)Example of rapid combustion—Gas stove.
2)Example of explosion combustion—Fireworks.
