Rest - a body is said to be at rest, if it does not change its position with respect to its surrounding with time.

Motion - a body is said to be at motion, if it changes its position with time.

rest :

a) an object is said to be in rest  , when its positions does not change with respect to the surrounding.

b) eg :stone , soil  etc

motion:

a)an object is said to in motion , when it's position changes with respect to the surroundings .

b) eg: human being , vehicles etc
