The difference between Scalar quantities and vector quantities are :-
scalar quantities :-
➢ They are expressed only by their magnitudes.
➢They can be added, subtracted , multiplied or divided by simple arithmetic methods.
➢ They are symbolically written by English letter.
➢Example : Mass and speed
Vector quantities :-
➢ They are expressed by magnitude as well as direction.
➢ They can be added, subtracted , multiplied or divided following a different algebra.
➢They are symbolically written by their English letters with an arrow on top of their letters.
