Speed means how fast the object is moving and velocity is the rate of change in displasement

Speed:-Distance travelled per unit time is called speed.It is scalar quantity and it's S. I unit is metre per second.


Velocity:-Distance travelled per unit time in a given is called velocity.Thus displacement per unit time also called velocity .It is vector quantity and It's S.I unit is Metre per second.

The value of velocity may be Positive , negative or0.
