Difference between tectonic and lithospheric plate is given as follows:
The difference between plate tectonics and tectonic plates comes down to objects and actions. Tectonic plates are the different pieces of the Earth's crust that move around as they float on top of the mantle. Plate tectonics is how those pieces move and interact with each other. Thus, tectonic plates are objects while plate tectonics are actions as well as the theories and forces involved in those actions.
Lithospheric plates are regions of Earth's crust and upper mantle that are fractured into plates that move across a deeper plasticine mantle.
