Answer:

Fish is a lower vertebrate with a two chambered heart exhibiting single mode of circulation. Impure blood is pumped to gills for oxygenation. This oxygenated blood from gills is supplied directly to the body tissues without sending to the heart. Blood passes through the heart only once hence called as single circulation.

Bird is a higher vertebrate with four chambered efficient heart exhibiting double circulation. Left side of the heart is filled with oxygenated blood and right side of the heart is filled by deoxygenated blood. Bloods have high energy needs as they fly high in the air. They also require lot of energy for maintaining heat in the body.

hope it helps you..
