Transparent objects are the object which allow light to pass through it whereas translucent objects are those objects which allow light,to pass through them partially.
Some examples for translucent objects are: Butter paper, ground glass, thin sheets of plastic etc.
Materials like air, water, and clear glass are called transparent.
