uniform linear motion is a motion with a constant velocity, whereas uniform circular motion is the motion with a constant speed.

uniform circular motion where a centripetal acceleration always acts towards the centre and always perpendicular to the velocity of the object.

uniform linear motion is the motion where an object has no acceleration and is travelling with constant velocity

motion in straight line:

in which motion a body moves in one direction.

vector acts on the body in one direction.

uniform uniform circular motion:

body moves in a circular path.

vector of motion acts on 2 direction.

because a circle has two direction 1. along the radii 2. along the tangent

it will be more clear... watch pic

now try to imagine u r rotating a stone with a string... one force will pull your hand , is the force along radii. now imagine u stop rotating it what will happen???the stone will stop after rotating once or twice.
