DIVISION OF POWER :: In politics it refers to the division of governing power among various levels of government.

Vertical division of power :: In this the governing power is shared among the center government and various state government in a country. In this center government is more powerful than state government.

Federalism division of power :: In this power is divided between different levels of government. The government can be different on many basis such as regional basis like vertical division of power and community basis like community government in Belgium. Any level of the government can be powerful or enjoys the same powers.
