... this discrimination is on the basis of phys- ical or of chemical difference between the two ... Anamoeba feeding and pramecium feeding

Amoeba: Heterotroph by phagocytosis

Paramecium: Heterotroph by predation

Amoebacan constantly change its shape. It forms finger-like projections called pseudopodia around its prey and engulfs it.
The food thus eaten gets trapped in the food vacuole.
An Amoebafeeds on algae, rotifiers, protozoans and even other small Amoeba.
Digestive juices are secreted inside the food vacuole in an Amoeba.
Theses juices act on the food and break it down into smaller components.
The digested food is later absorbed by the Amoeba for growth, maintenance, and multiplication.
The waste material or undigested food is then expelled out of the body.

Parameciauses itsciliato sweep its food along with some water into the cell mouth.
The food then enters into the gullet, which is like the stomach
. Then, the food invaginates to form a food vacuole in the cytoplasm, and travels through the cell, through the back end first
. As it moves along, enzymes from the cytoplasm enter the vacuole to digest the contents, digested nutrients then going into the cytoplasm, and the vacuole shrinks.
When the vacuole reaches the anal pore, it ruptures, expelling its waste contents to the exterior.

conclusion::::bothAmoeba and Paramoecium have holozoic type of nutrition i.e. food is engulfed and then digested in the cell.

HEY MATE!!!

■ Amoeba takes in food using temporary finger like extension of the cell surface which fuse over the food particle forming a food vacuole.

■ Inside the food vacuole, complex substances are broken down into simpler ones which then diffuse into the cytoplasm.

■ The remaining undigested material is moved to the surface of the cell and thrown out.

HOPE IT HELPS YOU!!!
