1. Most prokaryotic cells are unicellular.
1. Most eukyarotic cells are multi-cellular. 

2. Size of prokaryotic cells is generally small. (0.5 - 5 mew)
2. Size of eukyarotic cells is generally large. (50 - 100 mew)

3. Prokaryotic cells contains single chromosome.
3. Eukrayotic cells contains more than 1 chromosome.

4. In Prokaryotic cells, Cell division occurs by mitosis.
4. In Eukaryotic cells , cell division occurs by meiosis.

5. Nucleus is absent in Prokaryotic cells.
5. Nucleus is present in Eukaryotic cells.

Both organisms are composed of cells, the basic unit of life, with each cellsurrounded by a cell membrane. The biggest difference between prokaryotes and eukaryotes is that eukaryotes have a nucleus. They also have other membrane structures called organelles.
