Fision means explosion of nucleus and release of energy.....

And in fusion energy given to fuse two nucali.

NUCLEAR FISSION

- splitting of a large atom into 2 or more smaller ones

- produces highly radioactive particles

-does not normally occur in nature

- critical mass of substances and high speed neutrons are required

- energy released is million times greater than in chemical reaction but lower than energy released in nuclear fusion.

NUCLEAR FUSION

- fusing of 2 or more lighter atoms into larger ones

- few radioactive particle is produced

- occurs in stars such as in sun

- high density, high temperature environment is required

- extremely high energy is required to bring two protons close enough

- energy released id 3/4 times than fission
