Simple Gland:

A gland without a branched duct is known as simple gland.

Glandular cells are arranged in form of tubes/sacs.

Examples are sweat gland/oil gland.

Compound Gland:

A gland with branched duct is known compound gland.

Glandular cells are present in separate pockets which sends their contents in a duct.

Example are Duodenal glands/pancreas.
