Infectious diseases are caused due to extrinsic factors and transmission of diseases occurs through direct contact or some medium (air, water, vectors). For e.g. Malaria.. While non infectious diseases are caused due to intrinsic factors and do not get transmitted from one person to another. E.g. Goitre.

They are caused by organism such as viruses, bacteria , fungi etc. They can spread between individuals.E.g. Common Cold, Hepatitis B

Non - infectious diseases don't spread and they r generally caused from genetics or deficiency in nutrition. They arise from inside the body. E.g. Cancer , Diabetes , etc.
