differentiate the process of learning mother tongue from the process of learning other language

Mother Tongue -

Mother Tongue is generally considered to be the Native language or First language which acquire from birth and is spoken at home by the family. Mother Tongue is the language which is generally passed down through the generations.


Other Language -

The language which is learned at a later stage is known as other language or second language. It is a non-native language. One can learn many languages as other Language.


Difference Between the process of learning Mother Tongue and Other Language -

Kids learn the first language naturally by listening to their parents communication without any effort where as learning other language needs an effort and should know the rules of grammar and sentence structure and pronunciation etc. One can learn mother tongue without any hard work and time but where as to learn any other language one can devote his/her time. In the process of learning Mother Tongue requires less effort where as in the process of learning other language requires more effort and hard work.
