There are two ways by which you can do it.
In first method you need to differentiate it as we differentiate product functions.
Suppose y= u.v.w
where u,v,w are functions of x. then its differentiations given as
y’ = u’.v.w + u.v’.w + u.v.w’
in second and most easiest but lengthiest method we first open the brackets and then differentiate.
First method;
y=(x+2)(x-1)(x+3)
y’= (1+0)(x-1)(x+3) + (x+2)(1–0)(x+3) + (x+2)(x-1)(1+0)
y’=(x-1)(x+3) + (x+2)(x+3) +(x+2)(x-1) ———(1)
Solving equation (1) will give you the answer.
Second method;
y=(x+2)(x-1)(x+3)
y=(x^2+x-2)(x+3)
y= (x^3 + 4x^2 +x -6)——-(2)
Differentiating equation (2) will give you the answer.
Hope u will get it
