In sexual reproduction both gamets i.e male and female gamets fuse with each other to produce zygote.

In self polination Polen from a flower of a plant is transferred to stigma of the same flower but in cross polination Polen of one flower fall on the stigma of another flower of same plant or stigma of another plant of same species
