Linear motion refers to a motionin a straight path whereas circular motion refers to motion in acircular path. ... But in circular motion the person will always experience acceleration because direction of the person is always changing. Example of linear motion - a car moving in a straight road.

linear motion is accelerated motion while circular motion is unaccelerated motion.
Since in circular motion direction changes due to continue change in velocity but speed remain constant
