Orbit
it is a definite circular path at a definite distance from the nucleus in which electron moves. An orbit shows an exact position of an electron in an atom.It is based on particle nature of electron. These are denoted by K,L ,M,N etc.:
Orbitals:
It is a space around the nucleus within which the probability of finding an electron with a certain energy is maximum (95%) is called orbital.orbital does not specify exact position of an electron. It is based on wave nature of electron. These are denoted by s,p,d,f etc.
