zygote-is formed due to fusion of male gamete and female gamete whereas foetus is formed due to fusion of sperm cells and ovum cell

ZYGOTE AND FOETUS

After fertilisation zygote is formed. The embryo moves down in the fallopian tube and gets embedded with wall of uterus. Then, embryo develops it's body parts such as hands, legs, eyes etc. This stage is identified as foetus.

  • The fertilized egg is called Zygote.
  • Zygote is single-celled.
  • Zygote is found in uterus.
  • Zygote has no developed body parts.

FOETUS

  • Stage in which embryo has developed all body parts is called Foetus.
