➡Arteries

Carries deoxygenated blood except pulmonary artery

always carry blood awa6 from the heart to the tissues of the body

are usually present deeper in the skin

are more muscular and thick than veins.

➡Veins

Carries deoxygenated blood except pulmonary vein

Carries blood from tissues of the body back to the heart.

are usually present closer beneath the surface of the skin

are less muscular than the arteries, but contain valves that helps to keep the flow of blood in one direction ,usually towards heart against gravity.

would collapse if blood flow stopped.

➡ Capillaries

The entire circulatory system exists to serve the capillaries. They are the primary place where the blood stream gives off material (such as oxygen, nutrients, and hormones) to the tissues or picks up material (such as waste products) from them.
