PARENCHYMA:-

Parenchyma is a term used to describe the functional tissues in plants and animals. In plants, parenchyma refers to a specific type of ground tissue with thin cell walls and the ability to grow and divide. Parenchyma makes up most of the cells within leaves, flowers, and fruits.

SCLERENCHYMA:-

Sclerenchyma, in plants, support tissue composed of any of various kinds of hard woody cells. Mature sclerenchyma cells are usually dead cells that have heavily thickened secondary walls containing lignin. Unlike collenchyma, mature cells of this tissue are generally dead and have thick walls containing lignin.

Sclerenchyma cells are the matured dead cells and are found in wooden part or hard stem of the plant

Parenchyma cells are the type of living plant cells, which are known for healing and repair mechanism, and food storage.
