To differentiate these type of questions use UV rule.
d/dx of UV is U`V + UV`
where U and V are 2 functions in x.
Here d/dx -(x-1)^3*(x+1)^2 = -3(x-1)^2*(x+1)^2 + [-(x-1)^3*(2)*(x+1)]
=-3(x-1)^2*(x+1)^2 - 2(x-1)^3*(x+1)
You can simplify it further if you wish.
I hope it helps.
