- Location in the body : In hands , legs and skeletal muscles.
- Light and dark bands : Present.
Unstriated muscles :
- Shape : Cells are long with tapering ends and are unbranched.
- Location in the body : The wall of stomach, intestine, uterus and bronchi etc.
- Light and dark bands : Absent
Cardiac muscles :
- Shape : Cells are non tapering and cylindrical in shape and are branched.
- Location in the body : In the heart.
- Light and dark bands : Present but less prominent.
