Straited muscles :

  • Shape : Cells are long, cylindrical, non tapering and are unbranched.

  • Location in the body  : In hands , legs and skeletal muscles.

  • Light and dark bands : Present.

Unstriated  muscle​s :

  • Shape : Cells are long with tapering ends and are unbranched.

  • Location in the body : The wall of stomach, intestine, uterus and bronchi etc.

  • Light and dark bands : Absent

Cardiac muscle​s :

  • Shape : Cells are non tapering and cylindrical in shape and are branched.

  • Location in the body : In the heart.

  • Light and dark bands :  Present but less prominent.

Unstriated Muscle -

Structure -

I) Cells are long with pointed closures and are uninucleated.

Area -

I) Walls of stomach , digestive system, bronchi, urinary bladder,iris of eye.

Cardiovascular Muscle -

Structure -

I) Cells are barrel shaped , spread, uninucleated

Area -

I) They are found in heart muscles"
