Gamate is cell that fuses with another cell to form zygote.They are referred to individual cell, egg or sperm

Zygote is the fused product between egg and sperm.

Gamete-

  • The cells which are involved in sexual reproduction are called gametes. Examples - Male gamete called the 'sperm'. And the female gamete called the 'ova'.
  • They are the unfertilized reproductive cells.
  • When there is a fusion between sperm and ovum there is a unicellular cell that is formed known as a zygote.

Zygote-

  • It is formed when the male and female gametes are fused in sexual reproduction.
  • It is a fertilized egg of a fertilized ovum.
  • It gets developed into a new organism. It forms an embryo which becomes a baby later.
