  • Radiation is energy that comes from a source and travels through space and may be able to penetrate various materials.
  • Conduction is the transfer of heat energy by direct contact.
  • A large meeting of the members of a profession, political party.
  • Evaporation is a type of vaporization that occurs on the surface of a liquid as it changes into the gas phase.

Radiation : Radiation is the emission or transmission of energy in the form of waves or particles through space or through a material medium.

Conduction : Conduction is the transfer of energy in the form of heat or electricity from one atom to another within an object by direct contact.

Conduction occurs in solids, liquids, and gases. However, solids transfer energy most efficiently since the molecules in solids are most tightly packed, and the molecules are closer together, as shown in this figure.

For liquids and gases, the density of the particles are generally lower than those of solids and the particles are farther apart, so the energy transfer is less efficient.

Convention : a meeting or formal assembly, as of representatives or delegates, for discussion of and action on particular matters of common concern.

Evaporation : Evaporation is the process by which water changes from a liquid to a gas or vapor.
