false .the digestion starts from mouth.the process of digestion starts well over the food reaches the stomach. when we see,smell,taste
or even imagine a tasty snack our salivary gland which are located under the tongue produces saliva.

The answer is absolutely False. The starting of the digestion of the food takes place in the mouth itself. The saliva is the dilute digestive enzyme which digest the 20% - 25% itself in the mouth. Then the food goes in the stomach where other 40% of digestion takes place then the food reaches the tubes of small intestine where minerals and proteins are absorbed by the wall and complete digestion gets over...
