Digested food molecules are absorbed in the small intestine . This means that they pass through the wall of the small intestine and into our bloodstream. Once there, the digested food molecules are carried around the body to where they are needed.

hope it helps ☺️

Answer:

The absorption of food takes place in the small intestine. The small intestine contains many small finger-like projections known as VILLI. As the villi are curved, they increase the absorption surface area. Now, the villi are connected with a blood capillary network. As the food is digested in the small intestine, the digested food goes through the villi and into the blood due to the blood capillary network. When the food goes in the blood, we get energy.

And the process of utilizing the absorbed food is called ASSIMILATION.
