i) When dil.HCl is added to barium chloride solution, no precipitate is formed whereas a white precipitate of BaSO4which is insoluble in acid is formed when dil. sulphuric acid is added.



ii) When HCl is added to silver nitrate solution, a white precipitate of silver chloride is formed whereas no precipitate if formed with dil. nitric acid.
