Answer:

The concentration of sulphuric acid in mol/dm^{3}  is 0.05 mol/dm^{3}.

Explanation:

Given concentration of sulphuric acid = 4.90 g/dm^{3}

Chemical formula of sulphuric acid = H_{2} SO_{4}

Molar mass of H = 1 g/mol

Molar mass of S = 32 g/mol

Molar mass of O = 16 g/mol

Molar mass of sulphuric acid,H_{2} SO_{4}  = (2 × 1) + (1 × 32) + (4 × 16) = 98 g/mol

Number of moles of H_{2} SO_{4} = given mass ÷ molar mass

                                              = \frac{4.90}{98} = 0.05 moles

Therefore the concentration of sulphuric acid in mol/dm^{3}  is 0.05 mol/dm^{3}.
