Area of four walls of the room = 2h(l + b)
= 2 x 80 (50 + 42)
= 14720 sq cm
Area of the ceiling = l x b
= 5 0x 42
= 2100 sq cm.
Total area of the four walls and the ceiling of the room
= 14720+2100
= 16820 sq cm
Cost of white washing = Rs 3.50 per sq m
Total cost of white washing = 16820 x 3.50
