Answers
Some primary sources, such as eyewitness accounts, may be too close to the subject, lacking a critical distance. Others, such as interviews, surveys, and experiments, are time consuming to prepare, administer, and analyze. Finally, unless you have been trained in accepted methodologies, your own primary research in certain fields of study may not be recognized as valid.

Some disadvantages of Primary memory -
Disadvantages of primary data would be the limitations of such (e.g. only conditions and practices present during the conduct of research are considered); some extraneous variables may also be beyond the researcher's control. If the researcher is using a survey or some other instrument to gather data, this may lack validity, reliability or adequacy thus rendering the findings questionable. Above all, primary data equates to cost.
