a.  Alluvial soil as a whole are marked by high degree of fertility, however there are a few disadvantages associated with it.
b.These soil are loose at the surface and are only considered to be apt for intensive cropping .
c. Alluvial soil lack organic substances and nitrogen content.
d. They also considered to be immature because of their origin  and formation.
e. Since the soil lacks humus it impacts the density of the soil and nutrient retention.
