What is different between metal and non metal with exception


AJ147: The main difference is

Metals are Electropositive in nature.

They have tendency to donate an electrons to become +ve charge ions

They acquire stability by donating electron's

Ex.- Na+, Fe³+, cu²+ etc.

Non Metal's are Electronegative in nature.

They have tendency to accept an electrons to become -ve charge ions

They acquire stability by accepting electron's

Ex.- Br-, I-,
