☢Hydropower facilities can affect land use, homes, and natural habitats in the dam area.

☢In some cases, hydroelectricity can disrupt wildlife habitat.

The disadvantages of Hydro electricity are :-

1. It can be generated only in the areas of heavy rainfall and more sufficient water.

2.Loss during transmission is very high, upto 30%.

3.Dams are expensive to build.

4.If rains are scarce, there might not be enough water to run turbines.

5.We have limited hydroelectric power plants situated.
