Smart city is a city in which you can get anything which we want there is no problem for anything in smart city there is new modern techniques and modern appliances and also the city is a developed City which the modern youngsters need.
though there are advantages of Smart City but there are disadvantages to like the disadvantages of smart city is because of smart city there is lot of pollution and it has many industries which can harm the water or our surroundings because of many people's that is air pollution and noise pollution to and most of the people because of the Smart City come and settled in the city so that they get everything which they need so because of this that is overpopulation in a particular City

Privacy concerns for its citizens: Smart city concept is based on acquisition of a lot of data. Data which is almost about everything that is going on around an individual. The potential of this data is very huge and can reveal a lot of things about the individuals. Governing authorities should ensure the privacy aspects are revealed

Security and Safety concerns : Once privacy aspects are compromised, there is a big threat to safety & security of individuals. The systems should be designed with multi-layer of security layer and security shouldn’t really be easily available in the hands of bad elements.

Cost of living : Smart city infrastructure build-up and operations needs massive investment. These investments would be borne by the citizens, sometimes discretionary, but a lot of times non-discretionary manner - may be in terms of higher rate of taxes

Awareness of citizens: Smart city concepts as is being talked is in the developing countries like India, Brazil etc, where a large number of population is digitally illiterate. When digital services are thrust upon digitally illiterate people, they are susceptible to a lot of self and system damage. This issue need to be addressed on priority

Battery replacement and charging issues: Smart city is based on a large number of sensors and other IoT devices spread across different places. Each of these devices and sensors operate with the help of battery. Though the design is done such that there is no requirement for recharge or replacement of these batteries for a long time. However, whenever the replacement is required, it is likely to be very costly and tedious affair.
