This period of hindi literature is called Bhakti Period . We can categorize this period into two parts. Sagun Bhakti and Nirgun Bhakti. Sagun Bhakti was further divided into Ramamargi and Krishnamargi. Nirgun Bhakti was further divided into Gyanamargi and Premamargi.

Ramamargi: Surdas, Raskhan, Meerabai

Krishnamargi: Tulsidas

Gyanamargi: Kabirdas, Ravidas
