The features of the 1999 Nigerian constitution are as follows :

• Preamble : This introduces us to the main content of the constitution. It also end with “the constitution shall be the main authority for people and government”. That's the highest law.
• The Government : The law of Nigeria is that the country practices democracy and that the government should be operated based on justice system.
• The territory : Here a lot were discussed including but not limited to how to attain citizenship and what makes one a citizen.
• Section 5 is about Sovereignity and legislature.
