The role of salivary glands :- The salivary glands make the food wet and slippery so that the food passes through the oesophagus smoothly. Saliva consists of enzyme called ptyalin (salivary amlyase) which breaks the carbohydrates in food into maltose and dextrins
Role of liver:- Liver produces bile which breaks fats into fatty acids and glycerol
Role of pancreas :- Pancreatic juices breaks down complex substances into simpler ones
