Fishes have gills for respiration

and fishes have protective layer of mucus formed by mucus glands to protect them from water

Amphibians respire through their moist skin or lungs on land and have gills like fishes to help them respire in water

Adaptations in aquatic fishes :

● gills are the first and foremost adaptations which are present in the aquatic fishes and these are helpful for the fishes in order to absorb oxygen from the water and help the fishes to breathe.

● the second adaptations of Aquatic fishes is the streamlined body of the fishes which help them to swim with the current of the water and also against the water current.

● third is the presence of since and various scales on the body of fishes which help them in swimming.

● the presence of clear eyelids in fishes is very helpful for them in order to protect their eyes from the particulate matter in the sea and help them see clearly.

Adaptations of amphibians :

● the first adaptation of amphibians which is really helpful for them is the presence of webbed toes which help them to swim properly in the water and doesn't really create any problem for them while moving on the ground.

● second adaptation of amphibians is about the mechanism of their breathing. They can breathe through their moist skin, from their lungs and also they have gills present in them which help them in breathing when present in water.
