1. "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana" was launched to "address the issue" of sex ratio and increase the education opportunities for the girl child.
2. "Rajiv Gandhi National Creche Scheme" provides aids to NGOs to run creches and employ those women who have no earning member in their family and no support system.
3. Working Women hostels have been established throughout the country to provide safe housing facilities at reasonable rates
4. One stop centres give aid to those females who have been victims of any sort of abuse. This aid is given in the form of medical facilities, legal help etc
