I think Punjab is the first one bcoz i only know about punjab bcoz i lived here nd here lots of things are not equal for girls as compare to boys.

In India the gender discrimination is still there. The birth of a son is still celebrated as blessing. The two areas of discrimination in India as also pointed by the Nobel Prize winner economic Amatiya Sen are :

1.  Education : There is education inequality especially in rural areas. The Sons are given quality and higher education rather than daughters.

2.  Health : In India especially in North India, women are given less food and health care than men as shown by studies. Indian women live six years less than western women.
