The normal I can focus all the lights from any object at the same point sometimes the light coming in the horizontal and vertical plane do not come to focus and same. As a result the horizontal and vertical waves of an object are not see with the same clarity such a defects of eye is called astigmatism. A person suffering from this defect is not able to see in all the directions equally well due to this defect of eye the image of a distant object appears as a line on the retina.
