Blood consists of four components:

ii. Red Blood Cells (RBC): RBCs are red in colour due to presence of pigment hemoglobin which combines with Oxygen and carries it to cells of the body.

iii. White Blood Cells (WBC): WBCs are soldiers of our body. They protect us from various diseases by eating or killing germs by producing antibodies.

iv. Platelets: Platelets help in blood clotting. Thus plugs the open wound and stops bleeding.
