Insecticides are used in agricultural feilds to reduce the risk of crop failure due to various pests and insects. But these are now being used in excessive amount effecting the environment.

● The balance that was maintained earlier in the nature is being disturbed by the use of insecticides. When there were no insecticides the nature itself created a balance for food production.

● The use of insecticides is a reason for environmental pollution too. These chemical sprays take too long to completely eradicate from the soil, but we spray them in the farms every year increasing their concentration in the soil and polluting land.

● These insecticides are even absorbed by the plants which are then consumed by us and are a cause of many diseases.

● Biomagnification is also a result of these insecticides and pesticides. These are the main cause for the disturbance in the food chain which is disturbinh the environmental balance.
