Opening & Closing Procedures. ~Manager and crew should arrive 30 minutes prior to opening to allow enough time to prepare for the start of the day. ~If there is any tampering inside or outside the store, do not enter – remain where you are and call the police. ~Do not open the store alone.

An assigned staff member each day is responsible for unlocking the basement door.
The first assigned staff member to arrive that works in a secured area of the building (west wings floor 1 and 2, south wing, east wing administration, CAPS center) is responsible for disarming the alarm system each morning.
Reception staff is responsible for unlocking the front doors and activating the actuators at the
start of patient care hours.
The Medical Records/System Administrator or designated SHS managers are responsible for unlocking the medical records office and disarming the security alarm.
The Ancillary Services Coordinator or desingated career pharmacist is responsible for opening the pharmacy and disarming the security alarm.
Closing
The Financial/Facility Assistant closes and locks the perimeter doors at 5:00 PM Monday - Friday. The doors are double-checked and locked if necessary by the custodian at 6:30 PM Monday - Friday.
The Ancillary Services Coordinator or designated pharmacist are responsible for closing the Pharmacy including arming and disarming the security alarm system.
The custodian locks the secured areas of the Health Center and arms the alarm system each evening Monday - Friday
