Discuss over and cross cutting social divisions

Overlapping differences creates possiblity of deep social divisions and are difficult to accommodate.  Like the difference between blacks and white becomes overlapping as blacks were continuously dominated . It is when one group is placed superior to the other while cross cutting creates less of difficulties like that in Netherlands and Northern Ireland where even when Christians were divided between Catholics and protestants
