Adolescence is a period of change in a person's way of thinking. It is time when the brain acquires the greatest capacity for learning.

During this phase adolescents use to give the :

1. Independent and self consious habit.

2. They start feeling the need for acceptance and understanding.

3. Urge to develop relationships with persons of opposite sex.

4. Need the company friends.

5. They get emotional in even simple matters, that even leads to anxiety.

6. Mood swing is very common during this.

It is a transitional stage of physical and psychological changes that occurs during the period from puberty to adulthood. It means changes which help a teenager to grow up physically and mentally.
